Sunday Worship Song

What is it about certain songs that can take a 25-year-old very seldom crier and turn her into a complete bawl bag? Who knows, but this one sure gets me. I truly believe that God puts certain things in our paths at certain times. When we need to hear or see them, when we are ready to, and when He is ready for us to see a tiny bit more of His plan. This song did just that for me this week. The opening line completely sums it up:

In Christ alone, my hope is found

This week I needed to be reminded that my hope and my strength is in Christ alone. I can’t do it all on my own, in fact I can do very little on my own. But being able to hand it all over to Him who knows the plans He has for me, just makes life a tad bit easier.

No power of hell, no scheme of man

Can ever pluck me from His hand

Till He returns or calls me home

Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand

Have a wonderful Sunday, and a wonderful week.
